Klára Zakopalová (née Koukalová) (born on February 24, 1982 in Prague), Czech Republic is a Czech professional female tennis player. She was born and still lives in Prague, the capital.
In her career Zakopalová has reached eight singles finals and won two, in 2005 on the grass of Rosmalen (Netherlands) and in September of that year on the hard courts of Portorož (Slovenia).
In January 2006 she played a comeback player Martina Hingis, at the WTA Tournament in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, whom she lost to in the second round of the tournament.
Zakopalová was seeded No.29 at the 2006 Australian Open tennis tournament but lost in the first round to Ekaterina Bychkova of Russia. Klara has not had a successful year in singles or doubles, with over ten first-round losses in singles and not a single victory in doubles. Many people are confused as to why she has yet to regain the form that took her to no. 27 in the world in March of 2006.
